Abbott joins Sen. Malone to call for vote on bill to give municipalities an option to pause data center development
East Hempfield Township Supervisor Carly Abbott joined Senator James Andrew Malone to ask the PA Senate to approve a bipartisan bill that would allow municipalities to pause data center development while they update regulations.
“Tech billionaires are in a race to build fast and first. And our communities are in danger of paying for it with our peace and open space. … This is why local governments need the ability to pause data center development while they do this work. We need the Senate to return to session to vote on data center moratorium legislation and September 28 is too late.”
